You are here:Huawei open sources its Mindspore Framework

Last year August (2019) Huawei announced its AI framework Mindspore, which is suppose to help in the development of AI based Apps. Well the company now has decided to openSoirce the the framework, release builds of it in Githab and Gitee.

Its a lightweight Framework very much like PyTorch and Tensoreflow (Facebooks and Googles own AI frameworks). What sets Mindspore apart from other frameworks is that the company boasts that performing AI based tasks developers use 20% less code than other, plus it supports Parallel training across hardware, allowing less training time.

Mindspore has backing partners such as University of Edinburgh, Peking University, Imperial Collage London and robotics startup Milvus.

Currently the Framework requires Python 3.7+, with C++, Rust and Julia scheduled in for support in the near future
