According to a study released by IBM’s institute for business 43% of the aging population feel lonely at least some of the time.

IBM and UCL have been working on a proof of concept using technology to tackle loneliness. Leveraging IBM Watson and Watson Speech services they’ve developed an app that can run on a range of device from Android and IOS tablets to the Oculus VR headset.

The app gives Players the ability to interact with their family in a virtual environment, without having to leave their location. IBM states that this technology Is very appropriate due to the current events.

Can you imagine having a virtual reality Party with your friend and family, talk about a new way to interact whilst social distancing
