Wireless earbuds are all the rage these days, 2020 has seen a surge in demand, and with that surge comes no shortage of models to choose from. The unrestricted freedom with no wires attached is one of the biggest benefits to wireless earbud, which is a big appeal. Whether its going to the gym or going about your day to day life, they are very handy and fit in perfectly.

Different Flavors

Some wireless earbuds have a cable or neckband connecting the buds together, but many of the options you’ll see on the list below don’t – they look just like earplugs. Other extras can include noise-cancelling tech, touch controls and carry cases that double as chargers.

As mentioned before there are quite a few models out there, and with those models come different styles. Some earbuds have a cable or neckband connecting the buds together; others just sit in the ear with nothing connecting them but your head.

Furthermore, we are now seeing wireless earbuds that come with an A.I. voice assistant making them truly hand free. Apples Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant comes to mind.

Due to the amount of models and configurations, figuring out which one suits you best can be like trying to navigate through a minefield.

Its good thing you are here then! We’ve put together a roundup of the best wireless earbuds the market has to offer. So if you are looking for the earbuds with the best sound or the comfiest or just want earbuds that make you look prettier, we’re pretty sure we will have them listed for you…

Very Comfortable fitRivals in the same price range sound better
Amazing Noise CancelationOnly way to control volume is through siri
Sound is nice and BalancedNot so great for Android Users
Very nice design No aptX HD support
Comes with a choice of silicon tips to sit firmly in ear
Charges very quickly (5 minute charge gives an extra hours of battery life)

The AirPods Pros sit above the standard AirPods you’ll find lower down this list. They’re pricier, but you do get better sound quality, an improved level of comfort and the addition of Apple’s own noise-cancelling technology, which is without a show of doubt the best at this price range.

The AirPods Pros are an upgrade to the regular Airpods (later on in the list) with better sound quality, and impressive Noise cancelation. Many agree it’s more prettier and comfortable than the airpods.

The Pros come with a choice of silicon tips, which its predecessor didn’t offer; you can simply choose the correct size for a good fit. As mentioned the noise cancelation is amazing, you will really have to be careful when crossing the roads with these on.

Each earbud has a little sensor when squeezed can activate Siri, or answers a call, or skips a track. Unfortunately there is no way you can adjust the volume unless you use Siri, which is disappointing.

On the upside charging the earbuds in the case for 5 minutes gives an extra hour of Charge. The Earbuds themselves last up to 5 hours, but can be extended to 19 hours with the case.

The Airpods Pro are sweat and water resistant, so you don’t have to worry about getting wet and grimy during your tough Jog or gym sessions, however this is to a lesser degree than other sporting rivals.

If you are an iPhone user, you will enjoy using these, as they just gel nicely with your iPhone and the Apple Watch ecosystem. They are a joy to use, and you may ask where these have been your whole life…

Sounds awesomeThe name is a bit rubbish
Good Noise CancelationNo aptx HD support
Nice fit Not the best with Sports
Very Good Battery Life
Charges very quickly (5 minute charge gives an extra hours of battery life)

This is Sony’s second attempt at true wireless earbuds, and I must say it’s a quality attempt! The EF-1000XM3s (try saying that fast 3 times) offers great Noise Cancellation second only to the AirPod Pros and a very good Bluetooth connectivity.

The most important to many when it comes to wireless earbuds is sound quality, and boy do these pack a punch. The sound quality I can only describe as silky smooth, is one of the best I’ve heard; you will hear every piano string and drum beat which makes for a great listening experience.

in terms of comfort, the buds come with a wide array of tip sizes, so you are definitely going to find a size that fits your ears perfectly.

The battery life lasts 6 hours with the case giving you an additional of 24 hours which is impressive, especially with the noise cancellation enabled.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say these are probably the best wireless earbuds we’ve tested period!

Light and  ComfortableMore Expensive than closes Rivals
Amazing Noise CancelationOnly way to control volume is through siri
Amazing Sound, nice and matured
Beautifully Designed

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 has everything its predecessor had but takes things up a notch, including the design which aesthetically looks similar to its older sibling but has some subtle changes to mark them apart. The earbuds are slightly thinner so they don’t stick out from your ears as much. The result is earbuds that’s more comfortable and wearable than expected.

This model also comes with noise cancellation which is very impressive and works just as well as the Sony WF-1000 XM3.

When it comes to battery life this probably has the best of its rivals, as you get a whole 7 hours worth of playback and an incredible 28 hours with the charging case.

The earbuds come with touch sensitive pads which can be customised to playback music or take advantage of the features on your phone.

Music playback is where thing really shines with these wireless earbuds. Though aptX HD is not supported the sound quality is as good as any device out there even rivalling the Sony  WF-1000XM3. You can hear all the percussion and production, the highs , the lows with perfect delivery… truly an amazing sonic experience.

With these earbuds Sennheiser are not shying away from the customer they are looking for. If you have to think twice due to the price, which is higher than their rivals, then you are probably not who they are looking for. The high powered professional who is bold and daring are the target market Sennheiser has their eyes, and they are not shying away from it. They want owners of the Mementum True Wireless 2’s  to know they are part of a select few, who have the pleasure of these earbuds.
